| To celebrate the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China and the 20th anniversary of the return of Macau to the motherland, the Macau garrison organized the 16th military camp opening event in the Taipa Quarter from April 30 to May 2. With this rare opportunity, our school celebrated the “May 1 International Labor Day” and increased its recognition and sense of belonging to the motherland. On May 2, four classes of Form 1 and Junior 1 students went to visit the Macao Army Camp led by their class teacher.
Participants first watched ceremonial action performances, scouting and climbing, military music performances and so on. Afterwards they visited the military history museum, military simulation room, dormitory facilities and martial arts equipment. Many students could experience the various instruments of simulation training and close contact with weapons and equipment. At the same time, they had the chance to communicate and share ideas with the military soldiers, greatly increasing their understanding of the troops stationed in Macau. |
