| On December 12, 2021, the final round and awards ceremony of the ‘Start Young Hospitality Management Professional Challenge’ was held at the City of Dreams Macau. The 2021 Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Integrated Resort Sustainable Business Case Competition was co-organized by the Faculty of Business Administration of the University of Macau and Melco Crown Entertainment Limited. Our school organized three teams of students from Form 5, Form 6 and Senior Middle 3 to participate in the competition. The team of F5 students won the third place, while the team of Form 6 and Senior Middle 3 students won the first-tier prize. The competition aims to enhance and encourage students' understanding and awareness of business knowledge. Through competitions, students are encouraged to use their spare time to study business cases and visit field trips in order to understand the operation of enterprises and find out sustainable optimization solutions, so as to inspire students' interest in business knowledge and popularize business education. After spending more than two weeks of time and effort, our teams finally won the second runner-up and two first-tier prizes. During the process, students have the opportunity to visit the internal venues and hotel facilities of City of Dreams; understand, analyze and think about the real operation of the company. Finally, students have learned knowledge outside textbooks, and increased their teamwork, innovation and problem-solving experience. |
