On the 5th May, the Flag Raising Team of the Public Security Police Force of Macau visited our school to deliver a lecture on "Flag Raising Ceremony Demonstration" as part of an effort to strengthen the national identity of young people. Attendees included the school's JM1 and F1 students and teachers, members of the Flag Raising Team, and scouts.
During the lecture, the Flag Raising Team demonstrated the ceremony to provide a firsthand experience of a solemn flag-raising ceremony for the teachers and students of the school. The students stood in awe amidst the national anthem and paid attention to the slowly rising national flag, regional flag, and school flag. In addition to the demonstration, the lecture covered topics such as the national flag and the regional flag, the requirements and precautions for raising the flag, and the daily work of the flag bearers. The members of the Flag Raising Team also shared a promotional video titled "Guarding · Flag" and encouraged young people to establish positive values and to "guard" the beautiful homeland of Macao by inheriting the culture of the police force. The lecture concluded with a lively question-and-answer session, and the students left with a deeper understanding of the importance of the flag-raising ceremony and the significance of national identity. The event served as a valuable opportunity to instil a sense of patriotism and national pride in the younger generation.      |
