In order to enhance students' understanding of the University of Macau, our students visited the Chang U Tong College and related laboratories at the University of Macau on 13th July. During the visit, Dr. Tang U Meng and student representatives from the college led our students to the University of Macau Exhibition Hall, where they were introduced to the development of the University. They then visited the Wu Yee Sun Library to appreciate rare books and ancient collections, allowing the students to broaden their horizons.
Afterwards, Dr. Tang Yumin guided the students to visit the research laboratories, including the Lung Cancer Research Laboratory and the Lithium Battery Catalyst Research Laboratory. The students not only gained an understanding of scientific research principles but also learned about the development of the University of Macau in the fields of health industry and high-tech innovation, as well as its adherence to the strategic development approach of "1+4" in Macau.
Following the laboratory visits, Dr. Tang Yumin, student representatives from the college, and Professor Wong Shing Fat, the Master of Cheng Yu Tung College, had lunch together with the students and engaged in discussions. They also led the students to visit the college, allowing them to understand the facilities and activities of the college. Professor Wong Shing Fat personally introduced the philosophy and practices of the college, shared life experiences and advice, while the student representatives shared various college activities and moments of college life. Dr. Tang Yumin also shared his experience in guiding college students in designing experiments and participating in competitions.
