The 2023 Science and Technology Week and Innovation Exhibition took place from October 19th to 22nd at The Venetian Macao. Students from Yuet Wah College were responsible for promoting a local innovation project from Macau, showcasing the outcomes of local scientific research and promoting the latest technologies in Macau to the public.
The project being promoted was the development of nano foam cement, led by Assistant Professor Sun Guoxing from the University of Macau. This research achievement has already been applied in the construction of the fourth cross-sea bridge in Cotai, Macau. Models of regular cement and nano cement were displayed, allowing the public to make comparisons and personally experience the unique qualities of this new product. The booth also provided cement-themed souvenirs, which visitors could take home and share with their family and friends, effectively promoting Macau's research projects. |
