On the afternoon of 3rd November, Vice Principal Ms. Kong Kong Hang and Teacher Mr. Tam Man Tao led the students of SM2B to visit the research facilities at the Macau University of Science and Technology campus. The visit included the National Key Laboratory for Lunar and Planetary Sciences and the Faculty of Traditional Chinese Medicine.
At the National Key Laboratory for Lunar and Planetary Sciences, the presenter introduced the students to the different aspects of the moon, the structure of planetary meteorites, and the formation and evolution of planets. Through this field trip, the students gained a deeper understanding of the science behind space exploration, expanding their knowledge of the mysteries of the universe.
During the visit to the Faculty of Traditional Chinese Medicine, the students explored the Integrated Traditional Chinese Medicine Laboratory, the Biochemistry Laboratory, and the Human Anatomy Laboratory. They had the opportunity to experience the actual process of acupuncture, pulse diagnosis, and first aid, as well as examine human organ specimens. The activity not only deepened the students' understanding of traditional Chinese medicine but also further cultivated their interest in the medical field.
This event provided students with a rare opportunity to enrich their scientific knowledge and gain a deeper understanding of university research facilities and their academic pursuits. Through hands-on experiences, the students gained a clearer direction for their future academic fields and laid a solid foundation for their future academic explorations.
