The Guilin-Macao Students Sketching Exchange Program was organised by the Macau Guangxi Women's Association, Macau Chinese Education Association, and Guangxi Arts Institute, with the co-organization of the Macau Fine Arts Association and sponsorship from the Education and Youth Development Bureau. This three-day exchange program took place in the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, aiming to commemorate the 75th anniversary of the establishment of the People's Republic of China and the 25th anniversary of Macau's return to the motherland. The program included activities such as sketching instruction, in-field artwork, and patriotism education.
Our school was invited to participate in this event and engaged in a three-day artistic learning and exchange in Guangxi. We had the opportunity to experience the historical culture and artistic charm of Guangxi and engaged in in-depth discussions and interactions with students and teachers from Guangxi Normal University.
Our students also took part in a sketching competition with the theme of "Chengyang Eight Villages" With the beautiful natural scenery of the Sanjiang Mountains and guidance from dedicated mentors of both regions, our students showcased their creativity and talent.
During the competition, Lao Iat Hei, from SM3D, won the Silver Award in the Senior High School category, and Che Wa Hei, from F3B, received an Honorable Mention in the Junior High School category, bringing honor to our school. This event not only enriched our students' artistic knowledge and skills but also enhanced the friendship and cooperation between the two regions.
