The 2nd WeChat Innovation Lab Mini Program Global Programming Innovation Challenge - Grand Finals took place on 13th and 14th April in Tencent Binhai Building in Shenzhen. The competition received a total of 500 submissions, covering a wide range of themes. The topics ranged from introducing schools, hometowns, and local cultures to integrating creativity with various subjects and learning. Furthermore, students showcased their unique and creative solutions to address cutting-edge technologies such as AI and smart hardware, as well as social issues like elderly assistance and campus violence.
In the competition, our students Wan Weng Seng from SM1A and Fong Tek Long from SM1B achieved recognition as their project, the Yuet Wah Smart Assistant, was chosen as one of the finalists. After rounds of intense competition, the judges evaluated the entries based on criteria such as completeness, creativity, feasibility, advancement, and extensibility. Following a live defense, their project ultimately received the Second Prize of the Flying Dragon Group.
Furthermore, the projects of Chio Ka Meng from JM3B, Ieong Lap Ian and Kun Lok Kan from JM3B, Tou Ka Seng from JM2D, Kan Ka Hong, Lam Ka Hei, and Sou Cheng Hei from F4B, as well as Sou Ka Seng and Wong Pak Hou from F3C, were awarded the Third Prize by the Flying Dragon Group.
