On 27th April, the art students of our school visited the "Half Sunshine, Half Seawater - From French Impressionism to Macau Landscape Painting Original Works Exhibition", deeply experiencing Mr. Lu Chang's heartfelt attachment to his homeland through his artistic works.
This exhibition was held at the University of Macau, showcasing the oil paintings created by more than 10 well-known Western art masters such as Sisley, Monet, Courbet, Boudin, and Corot in the Normandy region of France, using a uniquely creative display approach. During the visit, the students showed great interest in the unique styles and techniques of the various artists. A student even shared their thoughts on the spot: "Monet's use of color is quite impressive. The way he captured the changes of light and shadow on the canvas made the entire scene come alive, allowing the students to gain a deeper understanding of his painting style." In addition to appreciating the works of the French masters, the exhibition also had a special area displaying Macau landscape paintings, demonstrating how local artists were influenced by Western art and created works with distinctive local cultural characteristics. This part allowed the teachers and students to witness the beauty of cultural integration. This was a rare learning opportunity, allowing the students not only to see these works of art in person, but also to deeply feel the fusion of art and culture.    |
