Our school held the first Sunday Mass for parents by our supervisor, Fr. Yip Tai-ho. The Good News was “Marriage and Family.” Fr. Yip pointed out in his solemnity that marriage is God’s plan and it is our mission to accept and participate in God’s plan. Marriage is not just a feeling of "love", it is a commitment, a mission and responsibility. Marriage is a sacrament that the presence of God cannot be ignored in the relationship between husband and wife. Fr. Yip asked parents to accept God’s mission, learn from Christ and learn from His unfailing love for us.
After the mass, the parents attend a seminar with the theme of "Addicted to Online Games", delivered by Ms. Si Qiaofeng, a registered psychotherapist in Macao and a doctoral candidate at the University of Hong Kong. Through video introductions, discussions, research report analysis, etc., the speaker helped participants understand the causes and hidden dangers of addiction to online games, the "addiction" situation of Macau secondary students, how to deal with online gaming addiction etc., so that parents understand the crux of addiction and their solutions.to online games then.   |
