Our school’s wind band is honored to have been invited by the parish priest of St. Lawrence Church in Macao to participate in this year's procession of the Virgin of the Sick. This invitation not only recognizes our achievements in music education but also provides a valuable opportunity to foster collaboration between the parish and the school.
The procession of the Virgin of the Sick is an important annual religious event in Macao. "Healing of the Sick" refers not only to physical healing but, more importantly, to "spiritual healing." The procession takes place immediately after the Mass. For each member of the wind band, this is a significant opportunity for learning and growth. Participating in such parish activities helps enhance students' sense of social responsibility and cultivates their sense of belonging and service to the community. Moreover, this reflects the school's educational philosophy, encouraging students to engage in community service and achieve holistic development. |
