To promote the development of science education in Macau and enhance students' chemistry learning levels, the Education and Youth Development Bureau organised the Macau school team to participate in the 38th China Chemistry Olympiad (Final) in Guangzhou from 25th to 30th October 2024. Our students had the honour of representing the Macau school team and achieved outstanding results.
The China Chemistry Olympiad (Final) is hosted by the Chinese Chemical Society and co-organised by the Guangdong Chemical Society and Sun Yat-sen University. A total of 608 students from 31 provinces, autonomous regions, municipalities directly under the central government, and the Macau Special Administrative Region participated. This is the highest level of chemistry competition for high school students nationwide. The student representatives for this competition were selected from those who achieved excellent results in the 2024/2025 Academic Year Inter-School Chemistry Competition. Our school’s representatives included Kuok Iok Kuan and Lao Kuan Hou from F6A, both of whom won the Outstanding Award. Congratulations to these two students for their remarkable achievements in the chemistry competition once again. |
