The 2024/2025 FIRST® LEGO® League (FLL) Macao Regional Finals, organised by the Macao Science Museum and jointly hosted by the Macao Gifted Education Association and the Macao Science and Innovation Education Association, was successfully held on March 9 at Escola Oficial de Seac Pai Van, with support from Escola Oficial de Seac Pai Van and the Education and Youth Development Bureau.
The event attracted over 160 students aged 9 to 16 from across Macao and marked the first time Macao hosted an internationally recognised STEM competition authorised by LEGO® Education, highlighting the global community's strong recognition and support for the development of STEM education in Macao. This year's competition featured the theme "SUBMERGED," focusing on marine ecological protection. Participating teams utilised their knowledge of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) to design, build, and programme robots, completing a series of tasks while proposing innovative and practical solutions to aid in marine environmental protection. Our robotics training team demonstrated a positive attitude and strong skills through teamwork and thorough preparation, ultimately achieving second place in the "Robot Performance Award" and receiving the "Outstanding Team Award." This accomplishment recognises the hard work and dedication of both students and teachers. Congratulations to all the award-winning students!
