In order to broaden students' horizons, engage them in interview work, and enhance their awareness of social issues, our school, as usual, organised student participation in the ‘Campus Journalist Programme,’ jointly hosted by the Education and Youth Development Bureau, the Associação dos Trabalhadores da Imprensa de Macau, and the Macau Sports Press Association.
This year's theme was ‘Mutual Love and Support, Growing Together,’ with a total of 24 schools participating. The activities required students to receive instruction in journalism from experienced professionals. After completing the course, students submitted either a newspaper article or a short video. A panel of judges selected six outstanding submissions, and the award-winning students will travel to Shanghai in May for a visit. The awards ceremony concluded successfully on March 19. Among the recipients, our students Lam Chon Long (SM3C), Sio King Nim (SM1B), U Hou In (SM1B), Chan Ian Wa (SM1C), and Leong King Hou (SM1C) produced a short film titled ‘The Companionship of the Soul,’ earning them an Excellence Award. Congratulations to the award-winning students, and we hope more students will participate in this activity in the future!
