Yuet Wah College’s 2nd Student Individual Art Exhibition Programme - Chan Hou Iam’s ‘Reflections of the City’ photography exhibition officially opened on 10th May at the Former Municipal Cattle Stable.
Yuet Wah College values the holistic development of its students and considers art education one of its core philosophies, providing a diverse platform for learning and creativity. In addition to acquiring rich artistic knowledge, the school creates opportunities for students to engage in artistic creation, whether individually or in groups, allowing them to express their inner worlds and explore the connections between emotions and society. The star of this personal art exhibition, student Chan Hou Iam, has had a passion for photography since childhood. His works focus on ‘the city,’ capturing the subtle emotions and stories of everyday life through his lens. His creations not only showcase the vibrancy of urban life but also delve into the overlooked corners and moments, allowing the audience to feel the city’s multifaceted nature and warmth. When discussing the exhibition, Chan Hou Iam said, ‘The city is the stage of our lives; it may seem cold and busy, but when you observe with care, every place has its story and emotion. Through ‘Reflections of the City,’ I hope to encourage the audience to reconsider the details of the city and discover the poetry and depth of life.’ The ‘Reflections of the City’ photography exhibition will be on display from 10th to 24th May at the Cow House, open daily from 10:00 to 19:00, and free to the public.
