To deepen students' understanding of the culture and current development status of the motherland and cultivate their sense of patriotism, our Form 1 and J.M.1 students participated in a three-day "Patriotic Education Camp" organized by the Education and Youth Affairs Bureau.
On the first day of the camp, the students visited the Zhuhai Aifeike Aviation Science Education Base to experience the rapid development and outstanding achievements of the aviation technology. Afterwards, they went to the Rossini Watch Museum, shuttled through the historical corridor of watch art and witnessed the fusion of Chinese and Western craftsmanship.
On the second day, students returned to Macao and visited the “Love the Country, Love Macao Educational Base for the Youth”. Through the review of the struggles and rise of the motherland in modern times, our students understood the historical role and mission of Macau as a part of China. Then they visited the Macau Handover Gifts Exhibition Hall where the cultural symbols and political implications of the gifts highlighted the narrative national unity and ethnic solialarity.
In the afternoon, they arrived at the Seac Pai Van Hostel and participated in a series of team building activities. Through challenges and collaborations, students demonstrated the team spirit, communication and problem solving skills.
The last day of the education camp focused on the future. Students participated in a series of themed workshops with "career planning" reflecting on their personalities, interests and potential, exploring how these align with national and social needs. Under the guidance of the instructor, they helped them further clarify their goals.
The three-day patriotic education camp ended successfully. The students not only gained a deeper understanding of the development and scientific and technological prowess of our country, but also strengthened their self-awareness and future aspirations through teamwork and career exploration. This was not just a great learning experience, but also a great gain in mind and faith.
