Following the magnificent military parade, our teachers and students proceeded in groups to the Complex of Commerce and Trade Co-operation Platform for China and Portuguese-speaking Countries to visit the thematic exhibition – ‘For National Liberation and World Peace – Commemorating the 80th Anniversary of the Victory of the Chinese People's War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War’ – organized by the Macao Special Administrative Region Government. The first group of students completed their visit on September 4th.
The exhibition is divided into six sections: ‘Outbreak of the War – Rising to Save the Nation,’ ‘The Nationwide War of Resistance – Uniting Against Foreign Aggression,’ ‘United in Spirit – Shared Resolve Against the Enemy,’ ‘Macao's Surging Tide – The Red Resistance,’ ‘Fighting Fascism Together – The Eastern Battlefield,’ and ‘The Great Victory – National Rejuvenation and a Turning Point.’ The thematic exhibition features a rich collection of exhibits with comprehensive and detailed content, offering profound educational value.
During the visit, our students listened attentively and reflected deeply, gaining a profound understanding of the hardships and unwavering determination demonstrated during the 14-year Chinese People's War of Resistance. They also developed a greater appreciation for the peace and stability enjoyed today. Many students left heartfelt notes at the site, expressing gratitude for the sacrifices of the martyrs and their hopes for a brighter future.
This school-wide visit served as an impactful lesson in remembering history and promoting the spirit of the War of Resistance. All teachers and students are certain to have gained invaluable insights from this meaningful experience.
