On October 15, the Macao Orchestra’s 2025-26 season ‘The Future of Music’ school concert was brilliantly staged at our college, offering an immersive orchestral feast for all JM3, F3, and F4 teachers and students. The melodious music resonated across the campus, as the notes, like delicate brushstrokes, vividly depicted the scenery of the four seasons, guiding everyone through a flowing musical canvas.
This concert was not only an auditory treat but also a dynamic music appreciation lesson. During interludes, the orchestra conductor provided insightful, accessible explanations of the pieces’ backgrounds and musical structures, guiding students to listen for rhythmic tension and release, changes in tempo, and layers of dynamics, thereby appreciating the emotions and stylistic characteristics within the music. Through this interactive listening session, students expanded their understanding of classical music and experienced the diversity of artistic expression through its melodies.
Our school extends its sincere gratitude to the Macao Orchestra for their magnificent performance. We look forward to continuing such artistic exchanges in the future, further enriching our students’ learning experiences and broadening their artistic horizons.
