The 52nd Caritas Macau Charity Bazaar was successfully held in our school after the celebration of the school anniversary. All the funds raised were sent to Caritas Macau for charitable purposes.
This in-school bazaar was prepared by students and teachers from SM1 and F4, who had overcome difficulties along the way and still managed the event in a proper manner with creativity. There are more than 10 kinds of interesting booth games. Moreover, the charity food sale organised by our school's Parent-Teacher Association, ‘BINGO’ organised by student union, charity sale and workshop, charity sports competition, charity souvenir sale, ‘WE Wow’ volunteer group charity sale, etc. attracted many teachers and students, who all enjoyed and made the bazaar even more meaningful.
For the sake of charity, teachers and students made huge efforts. With laughter and joy shared in every corner in the bazaar, our school was able to raise more than Mop 38,000 in just one hour. Together with Mop 108,000 worth of Caritas vouchers previously purchased by our teachers and students, who dedicated their love to the society, the total fund raised was more than Mop 146,000.
The purpose is to create a caring and inclusive atmosphere in school, so that students can help local poor families and the elderly and understand the true meaning of ‘charity brings joy’.
The school would like to express its gratitude to the teachers, students and parents who participated in this event for leading by example, contributing to good deeds, cooperating and allowing students to experience charity in multiple dimensions. We hope to further spread the concept of charity, undertake social responsibilities in times of need, and strength students’ awareness of knowing and doing good deeds.
