In order to enrich the after class life of our Monitors and promote their understanding of local culture, Yuet Wah College organized a "World Heritage Tour" on December 16 with the funding of the Education and Youth Affairs Bureau. More than 60 students participated in this activity. They were led by 4 teachers and visited Our Lady of Sorrows Church, the Mandarin’s House, the Macao Museum, the Municipal Affairs Bureau and other world heritage sites.
In the Macao Museum, the Historical Museum of Coloane and Taipa and the Mandarin’s House , professional tour guides introduced the transformation process of Macao's history. Our monitors listened attentively to their explanations and answered related questions. After visiting the main scenic spots, students also visited World Heritage sites such as the Municipal Affairs Bureau, Our Lady of Sorrows Church, the Taipa House Museum, the Dom Pedro V Theatre and St. Augustine’s Church. Our students also recorded everything they saw, heard and shared their feelings about the transformation of Macao with others.
During the activity, students not only deepened their understanding of Macao's local culture, but also realized the efforts of Macao government on developing tourism and multiculturalism. In order to enhance their understanding about cultural heritage of Macao, everyone looks forward to participating in relevant activities again next year
