To enhance students' understanding of the history of the Portuguese people in Macao and their culture, as well as to increase students' interest in learning Portuguese, we organized a series of activities for Portuguese Month in February. These events were supported by the Education and Youth Affairs Bureau.
First of all, our school held a "Carnival Masks DIY" workshop on February 5. Following that, a "mini concert" was held on campus on February 22nd.
Additionally, on February 28th, 2024, we organized a trip led by our Portuguese teachers of our school to various cultural sites. The students visited several learning points, including the Macanese Living Museum of Taipa Houses, the Pavilion of China-Portuguese-speaking Countries Commercial and Trade Service Platform, “Macao Ideas”, and the Macao Museum. We also arranged for students to experience Macanese cuisine for lunch.
The purpose of Portuguese Month is to enrich students' extracurricular life, provide them with more opportunities to showcase their talents, and enhance their overall learning experience.
