On May 21, our teachers and students organized a visit to the Macau Legislative Council to observe the legislative meeting. It aims to help teachers and students understand Macao’s legal system comprehensively and provide inspiration for students’ future development. During the visit, teachers and students listened to the intensive discussion of the "Oath Law" by the parliamentarians and learned about the legislative process of the "Oath Law". It is of critical significance to understand that it is a political guarantee to ensure that "patriots govern Macao". Through personal participation, teachers and students had a deeper understanding of the constitutional responsibility of safeguarding national security.
During the break , the teachers and students were also received by alumni and Macau Legislative Council members Ma Chi Seng, Wu Chou Kit, Ngan Iek Hang and Ma Io Fong. The legislators introduced the operating system of the Legislative Council and the work of the Macao SAR government to the students, and encouraged them to participate actively in Macao affairs and contribute more to the development of the country and Macao. Teachers and students were very grateful to the relevant departments of the Legislative Council for their assistance in providing them with this valuable opportunity to observe and learn from the Parliament. The school will continue to encourage students to participate actively in social affairs, to cultivate their sense of citizenship and social responsibility. We hope that this visit can become a starting point for students to pursue excellence and develop their potential, and have a positive impact on their future learning and growth.  |
