Experiencing Military Life, Cultivating Patriotic Spirit
From 27th to 31st May, our school organised the participation of 223 students from JM2 and F2 in the "2023/2024 Academic Year National Defence Education Camp", which was hosted by the Macao Education and Youth Development Bureau, co-organised by the General Association of Chinese Students of Macau, and undertaken by the Zhuhai National Defence Education Training Centre. Accompanied by 24 administrative staff, counsellors, and class teachers, the students immersed themselves in a series of education activities with a military focus, including learning basic weapons knowledge, room management, military physical training, and tactical skills training. This five-day residential military training not only enhanced the students' self-care abilities, discipline, and team spirit, but also strengthened their sense of national and ethnic identity, as well as their patriotic sentiments. Upon returning to school, the students displayed the highlights of their training on their classroom boards. On 14th June, a "Post-Camp Sharing Session" was held at the Jubilee Complex Hall, allowing those who did not participate to also witness the training and feel the importance of national defence education.  |
