The 11th Golden Lotus Cup Essay Competition is co-organised by the All-China Federation of Trade Unions and the Cultural Committee of the Federation of Trade Unions, with sponsorship from the Cultural Development Fund of the Macao Special Administrative Region government. The theme for this year is "World Cultural Heritage." The purpose of the event is to encourage writing among Macao students, enabling young people to recognise and understand world cultural heritage, promote and pass on Macao's cultural heritage and its unique charm, and cultivate students' ability to express their understanding and feelings about world cultural heritage through writing. Our school's SM3A student, Lei Gwing Leong, has won the Outstanding Award in the senior high school category of this competition.
