A group of 30 captains successfully concluded its cultural study tour on February 8. They explored several significant cultural heritage sites in Macao, including the Ruins of St. Paul's, the Macao Museum, Lin Fong Temple, Sin Fong Temple, the former site of the Chio Family Mansion and Kun Iam Tong Temple. This tour aimed to deepen our students’ understanding of Macao's historical heritage beyond classroom learning, strengthen their cultural identity, a sense of patriotism and affection for Macao.
Through exploration and interactive activities, our students enhanced their teamwork skills and inquisitive abilities. At the Ruins of St. Paul's, our students experienced the unique charm of the fusion of Eastern and Western cultures. At the Macao Museum, they gained a deeper understanding of Macao history through the exhibits and guided explanations. Subsequently, at Lin Fong Temple, Sin Fong Temple, the Chio Family Mansion and Kun Iam Tong Temple, they further explored the rich connotations of Macao's traditional beliefs and folk culture. This tour not only broadened their horizons but also strengthened friendships and also enhance their appreciation of Macao's cultural heritage.
In the future, the Monitor Association will organise similar activities, providing our students with more opportunities to understand local culture and broaden their perspectives, thereby promoting their diversified development.
