This year, in addition to organising various Portuguese activities and performances, our Portuguese class teachers and students participated in a Portuguese Cultural Study Tour on February 8, visiting various educational sites.
In the morning, our students explored the Macanese Living Museum in Taipa Houses, gaining insights into the rich history of the Macanese community. They appreciated a diverse collection of artistic works from both China and Portuguese-speaking countries at the Macao Museum of Art. During lunch, our students savored authentic Macanese cuisine, experiencing distinctive local gastronomy.
The afternoon itinerary included visits to the IAM Building and the Macao Museum, where students immersed themselves in Macao's historical evolution and cultural heritage of Portuguese influence.
This comprehensive cultural learning experience significantly enhanced our students' cultural literacy, stimulated their interest in multicultural diversity, and deepened their understanding of Portuguese cultures. After the tour, participants enthusiastically expressed interest in participating in similar activities in the future to further expand their knowledge of Sino-Portuguese cultural heritage.
