To celebrate International Labour Day on 1st May and to enhance Macao’s youth’s understanding of the Chinese People’s Liberation Army, our school organised a visit for over 150 teachers and students to the Chinese People’s Liberation Army Macao Garrison Taipa Barracks Open Day 2025. Participants had the opportunity to experience military life firsthand and foster a sense of patriotism.
The event began with a solemn flag-raising ceremony, followed by demonstrations of combat skills and tactical coordination by the garrison, which received enthusiastic applause for their exceptional performances. In the weapons exhibition area, students had the chance to engage with various equipment and learn about the development of modern weaponry. The highlight was the interactive life skills session, where a squad leader demonstrated how to fold a military blanket in three minutes. Students eagerly participated, gaining insights into military discipline.
This military experience not only enriched students’ knowledge of national defence but also deepened their appreciation for the dedication of the People’s Liberation Army in safeguarding the nation, further strengthening their patriotic feelings.
