On May 24, the Moral and Civic Education Committee organised a one-day tour titled “A Visit to Macau’s Ecological Zones and Environmental Organisations.” In the morning, participants visited the Cotai Ecological Zones, where they learned about plants and wetland ecology through guided explanations and observed wildlife up close at the bird-watching house.
In the afternoon, students visited the E-waste Pre-treatment Facility in Taipa and the Coloane Waste Water Treatment Plant, during which they learned about the processes of electronic waste recycling and sewage treatment. This DSEDJ-sponsored tour greatly benefited the students, as it not only raised their environmental awareness but also taught them how to practise a green lifestyle. After the trip, they are expected to be more willing to contribute to the promotion of sustainable development.   |
