To help students better understand Marian devotion, our school held the "Our Lady’s Evening Prayer Gathering" on May 29, 2025 in the school chapel. Over 200 teachers and students participated, spending a grace-filled evening through activities, prayer and sharing.
It began at 4:30 p.m., three sodality leaders served as emcees, explaining the history and method of praying the Rosary, followed by a short video. Students then each received rosary-making kits and under the guidance of 25 sodality leaders and members, they made their own personal rosaries.
At 5:20 p.m., Fr Yu delivered a reflection titled "Our Lady’s Companionship and Intercession," emphasizing that the Rosary is a "prayer of contemplating Christ’s life." During the Rosary prayer, sodality leaders lit the altar candles, all teachers and students prayed devoutly with their handmade rosaries, creating a solemn and heartwarming atmosphere.
It concluded with a "Faith Q&A Challenge," students enthusiastically answered questions on Marian devotion and Catholic teachings. After the award ceremony, a group photo was taken in front of the altar. Finally, dinner and sports activities brought the evening to a joyful close.
This gathering not only deepened students’ understanding of Marian spirituality but also helped them integrate faith into daily life through hands-on rosary-making.
