Pentecost Witnesses Faith Legacy – Over 40 Youths Honored
June 8, 2025
On the Solemnity of Pentecost, our school held the "Sunday Mass for Parents & Sodality Youth Awards Ceremony 2025" in the school chapel, presided over by our school principal, Fr Joseph Chow. During the mass, Fr Chow spoke on the grace of the Holy Spirit, encouraging the faithful to live out Christ’s love. Over 40 dedicated Sodality Youth members were honored, highlighting the educational fruits of integrating faith and action.
Fr Joseph Chow expounded on the day’s Scripture readings, explaining that the "breath" Jesus bestowed upon His disciples carries threefold grace: first, the "breath of life"— Christ’s forgiving grace that gives "courage to rise again"; second, "new breath"— bringing boundless hope for life; and finally, "harmonious breath"— the Holy Spirit unites all into one body to build up Christ’s mystical body. He emphasized, "In the Holy Spirit, we not only see God’s love but must also transform it into acts of mutual care."
After Mass, the school held the Sodality Youth awards ceremony, recognizing students who actively participated in Sodality service and faith activities over the past year. This year, over 40 students were honored for their involvement in liturgical service, community outreach, faith sharing, embodying the spirit of "loving God and neighbor." Fr Chow commended their dedication and encouraged them to continue being witnesses in the Church, empowered by the Holy Spirit’s grace.
It concluded successfully with the enthusiastic participation of parents, teachers, students and parishioners, strengthening the community’s faith unity and showcasing the vitality and commitment of the younger generation in the Church.
