Recently, our teachers Loi Chi Lap, Chang Hio Fong, Lei Sek In, and Chan Pui Hou attended the ‘For National Liberation and World Peace – Seminar Commemorating the 80th Anniversary of the Victory of the Chinese People’s War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War’. The seminar was jointly organized by the Cultural Affairs Bureau and the Education and Youth Development Bureau at the Macao Cultural Centre.
During the seminar, our teachers attentively listened to three thematic lectures delivered by scholars and professors from Shaanxi and Macao. The lectures were titled ‘The Call of Faith: The Spiritual Code of Patriotic Youth Heading to Yan’an During the War of Resistance’, ‘Not Neutral, Not Absent – Reconstructing the Historical View of Macao’s War of Resistance Through New Historical Materials’, and ‘The Spirit of Macao People in the War of Resistance and Their Unique Contributions’. Following the lectures, they engaged in interactive discussions with other participants, gaining substantial insights.
This year marks the 80th anniversary of the victory of the Chinese People’s War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War. This seminar provided a valuable opportunity for learning and renewal, offering significant benefits for related school subjects and for all teachers and students in terms of education on national sentiment and understanding the correct historical perspective of the War of Resistance.
