In June, our school organised a variety of engaging Geography Month activities, including poster displays, interactive games, and special lectures. These activities allowed students to explore topics such as ‘Macau’s Urban Development,’ ‘The Integration of Artificial Intelligence and Geography,’ and ‘Viewing Global Economic Conditions from a Geographical Perspective,’ further broadening their horizons.
1. Poster Display
The poster exhibition focused on the theme ‘The Integration of Artificial Intelligence and Geography,’ showcasing how geographic AI technologies are applied in everyday life. This helped students gain a more intuitive understanding of the relationship between technology and geography.
2. Interactive Games
On June 16, we set up interactive booths where students participated in fun activities to learn about the trade conditions of different global economies, deepening their understanding of the world economy.
3. Special Lecture
Through the ‘Memory Salon’ campus event organised by the Macau Foundation, we invited urban planner Mr Lam U Chit to hold a lecture titled ‘Drifting Along the Coastline: The Story of a Small City’s Land Reclamation over a Century’ on June 3. Using old maps, street layouts, and historical photos, he guided students through Macau’s urban changes and explored future development visions.
The Geography Month activities for this academic year have concluded successfully. The enthusiastic participation of teachers and students created a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere for gaining knowledge. We would like to express our sincere gratitude!
